Point Circle Elephant

PYRAH2 Project

PYRAH2 is a European innovation project developing a fully circular pathway to produce renewable hydrogen and high-value solid carbon from residual biomass and biogenic waste. The project integrates autothermal gasification, syngas conditioning, biological methanation, CO2 separation and plasma-assisted methane pyrolysis in a single demonstration plant. By recovering more than 90% of the carbon in solid form, PYRAH2 aims to deliver scalable, cost-competitive hydrogen with no direct CO2 emissions while creating valuable carbon products for applications such as tyres and low-emission steel. The project contributes to waste valorisation, industrial decarbonisation, energy security and the EU climate-neutrality objectives.

PYRAH2 and
Inveniam

Inveniam supported the consortium in securing European public funding and is now responsible for cross-cutting project management and coordination activities. Its role includes supporting the coordinator and partners in planning, monitoring and reporting; maintaining project governance and quality-assurance procedures; coordinating internal communication and deliverable reviews; and helping manage risks, milestones and compliance with the Grant Agreement.

Inveniam also contributes to the project’s communication, dissemination and exploitation activities, helping translate PYRAH2’s technical results into clear messages for industrial stakeholders, policymakers and the wider public, and supporting the pathway towards market uptake and long-term impact.
