i4Kids Europe Project
i4Kids‑EUROPE is a Horizon Europe project aimed at building an inclusive, interconnected ecosystem to boost paediatric innovation across Europe. Coordinated by Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona Children’s Hospital with partners in 7 countries, it addresses major gaps in pediatric innovation such as limited investment and the lack of child‑specific medical devices. The consortium analyses regulatory, financial, cultural and infrastructural barriers and proposes strategic actions to strengthen paediatric and maternal health innovation. Its work includes the publication of a White Paper outlining challenges and opportunities to ensure safer, more effective, child‑focused healthcare solutions.
