Cancer Genomics Platform at leading Super Computing Center
SMUFIN is a software program developed by the Computational Genomics Group (CGG) at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) that can find complex mutations in tumors with excellent specificity and speed, enabled by the biological expertise of the group and their powerful supercomputers MareNostrum and Minotauro. There is an increasing demand for this kind of genomic analysis from cancer research groups and pharmaceutical companies developing new drugs and treatments. In the future, SMUFIN-like tools will be directly used by healthcare providers as a powerful tool for personalized medicine. Inveniam has supported SMUFIN in the creation of a Commercialization Plan and Business Plan, financed by CaixaImpulse program, and is currently looking for strategic partners.
